I didn’t start this company because I love socks
I started it because for most of my working life, nobody sold me anything that made my days easier, and nobody explained what would.
For years I worked on a production line. Standing on concrete, same station, same motion, eight hours and often more. Then I moved to a seniors’ residence and worked 12-hour shifts: hallways, transfers, bending over beds, catching stumbles. And when the shift ended, three boys were waiting at home with homework, supper and a hockey bag to pack.
By evening my legs were lead, my knees ached on the stairs, and my back made me think twice before picking up the laundry basket. I figured that was the price of the job. Everybody I worked with figured the same thing.
I found compression socks late, by accident, in a pharmacy aisle. I bought the wrong size, and they ended up in a drawer. The second pair, months later, was the right one, and I remember the first shift I wore them: I got home and could still stand at the kitchen counter without counting the minutes. A knee sleeve came next, then a support belt for the transfer-heavy days. None of it was complicated. All of it should have been explained to me ten years earlier.
That’s EaseMove. Comfort products for people who stand, lift and walk for a living, chosen by someone who did, explained without jargon, shipped from Canada.
What we sell, and what we don’t claim
We sell three kinds of things: compression socks, knee braces and supports, and back braces and support belts. Every product is the kind I wore through 12-hour shifts, sized by real measurements, and returnable if it doesn’t fit.
What we don’t do is medicine. I’m not a nurse or a physiotherapist, and this site doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. Our products are for everyday comfort: heavy legs, tired knees, a sore back at the end of a long day. If something more is going on, every guide on the site tells you when to stop reading and call 811 or see someone, and our health disclaimer says the rest.
I’d rather lose a sale than have you wear a brace instead of getting a knee looked at.
How we choose products
- Chosen from experience. I choose what we sell from what got me through my own shifts: compression that stays up, supports that stay put, sizes that mean something.
- Sized honestly. Each product page has a measurement chart, not a shoe-size guess, and our measuring guide shows you exactly where to put the tape.
- No medical claims. You won’t read “treats”, “cures” or “prevents” anywhere on this site, and we don’t repeat what suppliers print on their boxes. Comfort is the promise; anything more belongs to a professional.
- Honest about wear. Compression garments lose their stretch; we tell you when to replace them rather than pretending they last forever.
Shipping from Canada, for Canada
We’re based in Edmundston, New Brunswick. Everything ships from Canada, in Canadian dollars, so there are no duties or surprise fees at your door. If the size isn’t right, returns are simple. If you have a question before you order, write to me; I answer myself, usually the same day, between shifts of a different kind now.
Our guides
Most of what I wish someone had told me is in the guides, free, no purchase needed:
- Compression socks in Canada: how to choose them and wear them right
- Knee pain after a long day: everyday relief and when a knee brace can help
- Lower back pain after lifting and standing: everyday relief and when a back support belt helps
- Standing all day? What you actually need
Where a guide leans on something beyond my own experience, the sources are listed.
The short version
I stood for a living. My legs, knees and back paid for it. EaseMove sells the three things that made those days easier, tells you honestly which one you need, and tells you just as honestly when you need a professional instead.
Thanks for reading this far. Your legs will thank you tonight.
